Rules and Regulations

1. Date of registration for the Audition is from 21st Oct 2022 (Friday), 12:00pm to 24th Nov 2022 (Thursday), 3:00pm.

2. Deadline of registration is 24th Nov 2022 (Thursday), 3:00pm sharp.

3. Any videos uploaded after the registration deadline will be not entertained.

4. No registration fees will be charged for the participation for Audition.

5. Contestants are required to record a one-minute singing video without music accompaniment. The video recorded shall follow the following requirements:

6. This competition is only open for individual participation.

7. The Top 50 finalists will be announced on 30th Nov 2022 (Wednesday).

8. The Top 10 contestants who have the most likes and fulfill the following requirement will directly advance to the preliminary round.

9. Contestants agreed to screenshot and send the uploaded participating video's backend data to the person in charge by 24th Nov 2022 (Thursday), 3:00pm：016-328 3648 (Amanda)

10. The remaining 40 shortlisted contestants will be determined by the Judges appointed by the Organizer.

Rules and Regulations

1. Contestants will be given 3 minutes to perform on stage with minus-one music or any unplug musical instrument (guitar, electric piano, etc.).

2. Contestants are required to arrive at the venue of competition at 2:00pm for registration (2:00pm - 2:30pm) and gather at the venue mentioned by 2:30pm or the contestants may be disqualified.

3. The top 50 contestants are required to pay a one-time registration fee of RM50.

4. 10 finalists will be chosen from the Preliminary Round to the Grand Final Round.

5. The performing song of the contestants will be collected by the Organizer within 3 days after the announcement of the Top 50 winner from Audition which is latest by 03th Dec 2022 (Saturday), 3:00pm. Contestants are not allowed to change their submitted performing song without permission or the contestants may be disqualified.

6. The Judges will make decision on the results and results will be announced by the Project Director of the Malaysia-China Youth Music Festival 2023 "Beginning of New Tune"

7. The Judges' decisions on the results are final.

Rules and Regulations

1. After the finalists of the Grand Final Round are announced, 10 contestants will be divided into 2 people per group to perform a song together in the form of battle and the Organizer will collect the Grand Final Round performing song and music sheet within 7 days of Preliminary Round which is 17th Dec 2022 (Saturday), 3:00pm.

2. Contestants are not allowed to change their submitted performing song without permission or the contestants may be disqualified.

1. 10 contestants will be divided into 2 people per group to perform a song together in the form of battle with a limit of 6 minutes per group.

2. The winner of the battle will be selected by the Judges to advance to Grand Final Round 2.

3. At the end of Grand Final Round 1, the Judges will revive a contestant for Grand Final Round 2.

4. The Judges' decisions on the results are final.

Rules and Regulations

1. The 10 finalists are required to record a video in order to be qualified for the Tik Tok Popularity Award. The video will be uploaded to the official Tik Tok account of the Malaysian Young Graduates Association (GRADUAN). The contestants with the most likes and fulfill the following requirement will be the winner.
   Following requirement:

• Number of Shared : At least 50

• Watched Full Video Rate: At least 10%

2. The video recorded by each participant must be within the time limit of 1 minutes.

Each contestants are required to fulfill the following requirements:

• Used the background music specified by the Organiser.

• The video must include the tagline of Malaysia-China Youth Music Festival 2023 'Beginning of New Tune': “马中建交有情谊，明日之音就是你”

1. This competition is open to the public from 18 years old to 40 years old.

2. Contestants must be Malaysian or currently Malaysia residents (for non-Malaysian).

3. The genres of songs must be Malay or Chinese or Chinese dialects. Songs containing violence, sex, politics and discrimination issues are forbidden.

4. No amendments on the submitted contesting video upon registration. Any amendment upon registration shall not be entertained.

5. The contestants for the Preliminary Round shall provide student ID, working permit or ID card upon registration to prove that you are currently living in Malaysia or the contestants may be disqualified.

6. The Judges reserve the right to make the final decision for every round of the competition.

7. Contestants are required to abide by the rules and regulations as mentioned and give full cooperation throughout the competition.

8. Contestants are required to cooperate in each session throughout the competition, including publicity waves.

9. Contestants who violate or disagree with the rules and regulations will be disqualified.

10. The Organizer reserves the right to change any of the rules and regulations without prior notice.

11. The main reference of the rules and regulations of Malaysia-China Youth Music Festival 2023 'Beginning of New Tune' will be the ones stated in the Chinese language.
